You restate some common superficial arguments about the war, but you do not examine the deeper arguments. NATO was retained in part due to the wars in the Balkans and the war on terror. The driving force between NATO expansion was not the West but Poland and other countries who have suffered from USSR and Russia before it for 300 years. You claim without evidence, as many do, that Maidan was somehow orchestrated by the US. You conveniently overlook that Russia violated the security guarantees it gave to Ukraine in the Budapest memorandum. I could go on but finally, I suggest, that if you really want to understand, listen to Putin’s February speeches, preferably in Russian, so that you can understand how sorry he is that Ukraine even gained independence. Listen to all the Russians who say Crimea is Russia. Talk to Russians who feel nostalgic for the larger territory. Talk to all the chechens, tatars, Ukrainians, Lithuanians, etc and all the other colonized peoples. That way you will have a deeper perspective than just offering a superficial recounting of common arguments offered by the Russian side.
